I love making Rice Krispies treats for the kids.  They are easy to make, the kids love them, and there are so many fun ways you can make them.  Today I am sharing a recipe for Monster Rice Krispies.

These Monster Rice Krispies Treats would be a perfect  treat for a Halloween party.   I don’t know what it is about a stick, but put it on a stick and kids love it!

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1-2 bas white chocolate chips (I used just over one bag)
  • purple food coloring (or color of your choose)
  • candy eyes
  • popsicle/craft sticks

Monster Rice Krispies Treats

Directions:

1. Melt butter in a large saucepan.

2. Add marshmallows to melted butter and stir until melted.

3. Remove from heat and add rice krispies cereal until coated.

4 Coat a 13x9x2 pan with cooking spray.  Press rice krispies mix into pan.

5. Cool slightly (but not completely) before cutting into rectangles (mine were 3 1/2×3) and inserting popsicle/craft sticks.

6. Let cool completely. Melt white chocolate chips in the microwave per instructions on the bag and stir in purple food coloring.

7. Dip rice krispies treats into melted purple chocolate or spoon the melted chocolate onto the rice kripies.

8. Add candy eyes.
