Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type is currently my daughter’s favorite book. I could probably read it to her without the book we have read it so many times. Before this book, her favorite was Goodnight Gorilla. Not so many words, so I had to do a lot improvising. I loved love the book, but after a few hundred times of reading it, I was ready for change.
Back to the today’s book. This is a hilarious book that will definitely keep young ones attention. The question is are the animals in the book manipulative or great negotiators. Either way in the end, both parities get what they want. We have read and loved several others of this author’s (Doreen Cronin) books. Click link below to purchase this book.

I thought this paper plate cow would be a fun craft to do with this book. It is really easy to make with items you likely already have on hand. Here is what you need.
- paper plate
- glue stick
- scissors
- googly eyes (no googly eyes~draw the eyes on with black crayon or marker)
- the spots and nose (also included on this printable are horns if you want to add them to your cow)~click on the link below.
Cut out the spots and nose. The spots are hard to cut out, but your child may be able to help with the nose. Have your child put the spots and nose where they want them on the paper plate. There is no right or wrong on the spots; use as many as you want or as few. Have your child glue the spots, nose, eyes, and horn (if you chose to use) onto the paper plate. You are all done; it’s that easy.
