I always start the school year off with gusto by writing personalized lunch box notes to our kids, but fall off the wagon pretty quickly.
Our kids love opening their lunch box and finding their special note, so I’m committed to doing better this year. To do this, I decided to create some printable lunch box notes that I could have ready to grab and stick in their lunchboxes on the days we are rushing to get out the door.
I started making these lunch box notes earlier this summer during some free time while visiting the grandparents. They were quickly forgotten once we left and moved on with our summer fun. It was not until we were getting ready for back to school that our middle child (who forgets nothing) started frantically waving his new lunch box around asking where the “things” were. With a puzzled look on my face, I inquired about these “things”.
It took a little back and forth, but it finally came to me that he was talking about the lunch box notes I was working on earlier in the summer. I quickly tried to remember how far along I was and whether they could be finished in time for the first day of school.
I’m happy to report that he and his siblings had one of these lunch box notes in their lunch boxes on the first day of school.
Lunch Box Notes
There are eight lunch box notes included with this printable. These printable lunch box notes can be printed on one sheet of 8 1/2×11 paper. I used a glossy paper to make the color pop.
