Our favorite Friday night activity in the winter is making some yummy snacks, curling up on the couch, and watching a movie together as a family. We missed Hotel Transylvania 2 when it came out in the theater and were super excited when it hit stores.

As soon the movie hit stories last week we grabbed one at Walmart, along with some groceries for yummy snacks.
This movie is a fun, family friendly movie that will have everyone laughing. All three of our kids (ages 4, 6, 9) enjoyed it and have watched it three times since we purchased it. Their favorite part was when baby Dennis said his first word. After the movie was complete the first time, they had to go back and find that part to rewatch it.
I love creating yummy snacks to go with our movies. How cute are these M&M’S® Chocolate Candies containers! I see fun crafts and activities in the future with these super cute containers.
Popcorn is a must in our house and if we have popcorn, we have to M&M’S® Chocolate Candies. While I was pregnant, I got asked if my love for popcorn and M&M’S® Chocolate Candies together was a pregnancy carving. I replied that it was of course an all the time tasty snack. I passed this love of M&M’S® Chocolate Candies and popcorn onto my kids. They don’t think popcorn is complete without M&M’S® Chocolate Candies .
For the snacks I made Crunchy Vampire Popcorn and Frozen Monster Eyeballs. The snacks were a huge hit with the kids.
Crunchy Vampire Popcorn
- 2 bags of Orville Redenbacher Popcorn
- M&M’S® Chocolate Candies
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 5-10 drops of red food coloring
1. Microwave 2 bags of popcorn following instructions on the bag. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place popcorn on baking sheet leaving out the unpopped kernels.
3. Add 1/2 c light corn syrup to a pot and cook on medium until it starts to bubble. Remove when heat and add 5-10 drops of red food coloring until it reaches desired shade of red.
4. Working quickly, dump the mixture over the popcorn and mix until all the popcorn is covered.
5. Put the popcorn into the oven for 10 minutes. Remove and allow to sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes until red corn syrup has dried and is no longer sticky.
6. Once the cool, add red M&M’S® Chocolate Candies.
We eat popcorn a lot, but Sprite is a special treat for the kids, so they were really excited about these Frozen Bloody Monster Eyeballs. They are so easy to make; just takes a little planning ahead, since they need to be frozen.
Frozen Bloody Monster Eyeballs
- Sprite
- Round ice cube tray
- Red food coloring
1. Pour sprite into a round ice cube tray and put into the freezer until frozen.
2. Remove frozen eyeballs and add one small drop of red coloring to each eyeball
