Fun Ways to Play in the Sprinkler {Amazon Gift Card Giveaway}

The sprinkler offers an easy and inexpensive way to cool off in the summer, but after a few minutes my kids are usually pretty bored with running through cold water. We have created some fun sprinkler games to keep them engaged and cool in the summer.

These sprinkler games offer an easy, fun and low prep way for kids to beat the heat and cool off this summer.

These sprinkler games don’t require much more than a hose, sprinkler, and participants.

1. Fill the Cup

Give everyone a cup and race to see who can fill their cup first.

2. Sprinkler Freeze

Start with the sprinkler off  and everyone running and dancing around. When the sprinkler is turned on, everyone must freeze until it is turned off again.

3. Simon Says

Play the classic Simon Says game except give commands that involve the sprinkler like “stick your head in the water” or  “run backwards around the sprinkler” or “pretend to swim”.

4. Sprinkler Bike Wash

Have kids suds up their bikes and then ride them through the sprinkler.
