Do you feel like we celebrate Halloween; we slip into our costumes, go trick or treating, eat a little candy, go to bed, and wake up and it’s Christmas.

I might be exaggerating a little, but the time between Halloween and Christmas seems to fly by.  If I don’t start early, I often find myself scrambling to get everything done.

If you travel like we often do for Thanksgiving or Christmas that just adds to the stress of trying to pull everything together.  We pull back into our driveway late Sunday after Thanksgiving and our kids immediately see that all the neighbors (thanks neighbors ๐Ÿ™‚ ) have put up all their decorations and that immediately starts the kids in on when we are decorating.  I still have Thanksgiving decorations up, suitcases to unpack, and laundry to do.

I start my holiday preparations early.  I have my to do list ready and start checking items off as soon as possible.  One thing that I get done and out of the way as soon as possible is the Christmas card and letter.  It is a tradition that we follow every year.  I love to receive Christmas cards from all our family and friends.  There might be just a little competitiveness  in me, but I like to be the first one to get mine out.  Some years I do better than others.

I schedule pictures in the late spring or early fall and order our cards and start drafting the letter in October.  I love ordering our Christmas cards from Shutterfly.  They have really cute cards and always have good deals.  .

I started browsing Shutterfly’s site the other day and put together a few of my favorite Christmas cards that I will try out with our pictures.
