Jingle Bells Christmas Craft

We are on a role with our styrofoam cup crafts.  They are an inexpensive item to craft with and can be used in many different ways. We have made Styrofoam Cup Santa Hats and Styrofoam Cup Angels and now we have used styrofoam cups to make a Jingle Bells Christmas Craft.

These are a great dollar store craft.  I purchased all the items for this project at our local Dollar Tree.

Supplies:

  • Styrofoam cup
  • Pipe cleaner- We used green, but any color will work.
  • Jingle bells-I bought these for a our Jingle Bells Sensory Bin and then reused some of them for this project.
  • Paint or markers to decorate the cup

Directions:

  1. Paint or decorate the cup and allow to dry.
  2. Poke two small holes in the bottom of the cup and thread the pipe cleaner though the holes forming a loop.
  3. Make your loop the size you want it and on the inside the cup, twist your pipe cleaner so the loop will remain stationary.
  4. Thread the jingle bell through one end of the pipe cleaner.  If your pipe cleaner is long cut a little off the end.  Wrap the two ends of the pipe cleaner around each other to secure the bell.

I’m always looking for crafts that my little one can do without “much” help since it’s her craft not mine! This is perfect. Thanks for sharing. #made4kids

Kim – you are full of wonderful ideas! My daughter and I loved the Toilet Paper Christmas Roll Tree and then I came across the Jingle Bell Christmas Craft. Considering my daughter has been singing “Jingle Bells” non-stop for days on end, this was a great addition and she loved it! I used some red Solo cups instead of Styrofoam, because I had them lying around and then we were able to skip the painting part and get to making music sooner!

Thank you Stacey! I’m so glad you enjoyed some of my Christmas crafts. My motto is to use what you have. I’m so glad you were able to make the Jingle Bell Craft with what you had on hand 🙂
