Painting is an often requested activity at our house. While I’m up for messy painting, there are times, especially when our kids were toddlers that I needed a safe, mess free painting activity for them. This Apple Dot Painting printable is perfect for mess free painting and a great back to school activity.

We are counting down the days until school starts at our house.  Even the littlest one who will not be attending school yet this year has gotten excited about back to school.

Since apples are symbolic of back to school, I created an apple dot printable to her feel part of back to school time .

For this project, you need Do A Dot Art Markers and this apple dot painting printable.

I love Do A Dot Art Markers, especially for little ones. They are chunky for little hands to easily grab and manipulate. They also have sponge tip applicator that serves as the painting applicator, making them spill proof and therefore mess free!

If you don’t have Do a Dot Markers, you could also use Bingo Markers or Pom-Poms.
